Ingredients

8-12 slices Captain John Derst’s bread

½ cup mayonnaise

1/3 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon chili powder

2 teaspoons honey

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup pecan halves

4 cups cooked chicken breast, chopped

2 cups sliced grapes (red or white)

4-6 pieces red leaf lettuce

salt and pepper


Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, chili powder honey and lemon juice with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Mix to evenly incorporate ingredients..

2. In a small sauté pan over medium heat, add the pecans and lightly toast. Cook for 3-4 minutes tossing often. 

3. Add the toasted pecans, chicken and grapes to the mixing bowl and stir all ingredients together.

4. To assemble sandwiches, add a piece of lettuce to the bottom piece of bread then some of the chicken mix, add the top piece of bread then slice and serve immediately.
